The CEL is the most recent addition
to Transtech Systems series of rugged hand held computers running
the Windows® CE operating system. The CEL offers a sunlight readable
display with optional touch screen technology, a variety of interface
capabilities, and the rugged construction necessary for industrial
and commercial use. The CEL is an ideal solution to meet the complex
and varied requirements of a wide range of applications.
The CEL features a 192 x 128 Liquid Crystal Display. A touch screen
can be added providing the ability to create GUI based applications
which opens unlimited possibilities for user control. The standard
display is sunlight readable with the option of an Electroluminescent
backlight for easy viewing in strong or low light conditions.
The CEL comes standard with 16MB of Dynamic RAM and 4MB of FLASH,
which may be expanded to 12MB of FLASH.
A variety of interface capabalities are avaliable with the CEL.
One serial port is standard with a choice of RS-232, RS-422, RS-485,
or CMOS/TTL protocols. An optional second RS-232 serial port can
be added for applications requiring dual serial port capability.
A PC card slot, Version 1 or 2, Type I or II, and an IrDA port are
optional.
This powerful Windows® CE device is designed for one-handed operation,
allowing for greater ease of use. The case is constructed of General
Electric Cycolac® ABS, one of the most durable chemical resistant
materials avaliable today.
