The PCL-25/25SR and PCL-1100/1100SR
are the PC-compatible member of the Transtech Systems hand held
product family. They are rugged implementations of the industry-standard
PC, designed to run MS-DOS® and the vast majority of DOS-based PC
applications. Featuring a large-screen Liquid Crystal Display with
standard monochrome CGA text and graphics. A high-speed serial port
allows use of off-the-shelf PC communications products.
The PCL-25 and
PCL-1100 feature 2MB of system RAM and 384KB of Flash-based,
System storage with an optional Solid State Disk (SSD) avaliable
(2MB-16MB in increments of 2MB). The PCL-25SR and PCL-1100SR
feature 2MB of system RAM, 384KB of Flash-based, System memory and
an internal 2MB SRAM drive. Your choice of a RS-232, RS-422, RS-485
or CMOS/TTL serial interface, with an optional second RS-232 port.
The PCL-1100/1100SR employs the latest in nickel metal hydride
battery technology and power management techniques for double the
charge life of conventional nickel cadmium cells without "charge
memory" problems.
Unlike bulky and awkward
so-called "hand held" PCs, the PC-Lite family is actually
designed for comfortable one-handed use. PC-Lite cases are molded
from General Electric Cycolac® ABS, one of the most durable, chemical-resistant
materials available. Keypad surfaces are securely framed and clamped
into place to ensure excellent splash resistance and prevent curling
or peeling of the keypad overlay. Stock and custom keypad layouts
with 45, 32, 30, 20, and 15 keys are available.
