The FlashPoint 3D Lite is available
in either PCI or AGP formats. It comes with three video inputs (Composite
and S-Video), one I/O and flash sync trigger, and is fully compatible
with entire line of FlashPoint 3D products. The Lite also features
an aggressive price point for absolute cost-critical applications.
The FlashPoint 3D Lite
is the sister high-performance, low-cost frame grabber to the FlashPoint
3D Plus. The aggressive price point of this board makes it attractive
to practically all cost-critical applications.
The FlashPoint 3D Lite
incorporates an on-board 3D accelerator and 8 MB of fast SGRAM.
Its 128-bit memory interface is capable of running at speeds up
to 125 MHz, allowing for display resolutions up to 1600x1200 at
85 Hz.
FlashPoint 3D Lite supports
nondestructive overlay of text and graphics on live video. This
enables applications that require crosshairs, selector boxes, or
other objects to be displayed on live video while the underlying
video is cleanly captured or displayed. Its independent control
of the graphics and video colour depth allows efficient memory usage
that supports the simultaneous display and capture of high-resolution
video (up to 768 x 576) on a high-resolution desktop (up to 1280
x 1024).
FlashPoint 3D Lite supports
acquisition from up to 3 composite/RS-170 inputs and 1 S-Video input
in both NTSC and PAL formats, and will support the capture of non-interlaced
video from progressive scan cameras. Video is displayed full-screen
or in a resizable window, and can be adjusted (offset and gain)
to the desired levels through software controlled video amplifiers.
Very low pixel jitter ensures accurate representation of horizontal
detail.
FlashPoint 3D Lite allows
for simultaneous display of CRT and TV display by incorporating
an integrated video encoder. Both a composite and S-Video output
is provided in NTSC and PAL formats. Flicker reduction is possible
with a programmable flicker filter.
A comprehensive Software
Developers Kit provides programmable access to the features of the
board's hardware architecture. The kit includes DLLs for Microsoft®
Windows 3.X/95/98 and Windows NT, MS-DOS; Visual Basic
Support, MCI, Video-for-Window (AVI) & TWAIN drivers, and sample
applications with source code.
