FlashPoint ISA - High Performance
ISA Frame Grabber with Optional Software Developer's Kit
The FlashPoint ISA is
a single-slot, high performance, ISA bus, 24 bit per pixel, true
colour, Super VGA frame grabber designed to capture and display
high quality video images. It features a precision video decoder
and RGB video frame buffer required for colour critical applications.
FlashPoint ISA offers the ultimate high performance ISA bus video
graphic solution for end users, OEMs, VARs and System Integrators
who require a frame grabber which possesses unequalled Industry
Leading Technical Specifications
FlashPoint ISA provides
the complete set of camera control functions required for capturing
high quality video images. Video can be captured by connecting an
NTSC or PAL video source to FlashPoint ISA's RGB, composite or S-Video
inputs. A programmable video switch enables selecting to the desired
input for viewing and digitizing images. Video is displayed full
screen or in a resizable window ("video in a window"),
and can be software adjusted (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast,
offset and gain) to the desired values through programmable control
of the video decoder.
A software controlled,
optically isolated contact closure enables triggering of consumer
or professional grade flash units configured with a wide variety
of video cameras. A programmable interface for synchronizing a flash
to a video camera enables FlashPoint ISA to digitize either one
frame or one field of video while the subject is illuminated for
the highest quality results.
An on board RS-232C serial
interface provides further integration of camera or external device
control. 12 volt DC power is supplied through FlashPoint ISA's DB-25
input/output connector that eliminates the need and cost of an external
camera power supply.
A comprehensive Software
Developers Toolkit to fully exploit FlashPoint ISA's hardware architecture
is available. The Toolkit includes DLLs for Microsoft Windows 3.1
and Windows 95, a DOS Real Mode Library, an MCI driver, and sample
applications with source code.
Included with FlashPoint
ISA is FlashPoint FPG, a Windows based application that automates
the flash capture of video images with full software control of
most industry standard video cameras.
