Transtech Systems 8045 is a rugged and fully functional ANSI(VT-100) compatible hand held terminal. The 8045 is ultra flexible. Nearly every aspect of operation from viewing angle (contrast conrol) to function key definitions is easily changeable via simple menu selections or direct host control. Ten distinct function keys can be redefined as characters or strings (maximum of 200 bytes overall) and saved in non-volatile memory. Available I/O configurations include RS-232, RS-422 as well as standard CMOS/TTL logic levels. As with all Transtech Systems hand held terminals, the 8045 is remarkably rugged and specifically designed for industrial use. Its case is molded from General Electric Cycolac® ABS, one of the most durable, chemical-resistant materials available. A unique built-in retractable hanger is provided. The keypad surface is securely framed and clamped into place to ensure excellent splash resistance and prevent curling or peeling of the keypad overlay. Stock and custom keypad layouts with 45, 32, 30, 20, and 15 keys are available. Key-release detection is provided as a standard feature and is particularly useful for setting variables and in motion control applications.
