The PM80 is the panel mounted member of the Transtech Systems family of terminals. [It's rugged, fully functional and ANSI 3.64 (VT-100) compatibility make it the perfect panel mount solution for existing products]. The PM80 is also ultra-flexible. Nearly every aspect of its operation from screen viewing angle (contrast) to display mode and function key definitions can be changed via menu selections or direct host control. Its' ten distinct function key strokes can be redefined as characters or strings to a maximum of 200 bytes overall and saved in non-volatile memory. Available I/O configurations include RS-232 and RS-422 as well as standard CMOS/STTL logic levels. Like all Transtech Systems terminals, the PM80 is remarkably rugged and specifically designed for industrial use. Its case is cast aluminum and, when properly mounted, NEMA 4/12 compliance is assured. The keypad surface is securely framed and clamped into place to ensure excellent splash resistance and prevent curling or peeling of the keypad overlay. Stock and custom keypad layouts with 45, 32, 30, 20, and 15 keys are available. Key-release detection is provided as a standard feature and is particularly useful for setting variables and in motion control applications.
